Ek aur ek gyarah, an event aimed at uniting India through eliminating terrorism was co hosted by AAFT and AB Fans Foundation, Mumbai here recently.

A brain child of media professionals, Mohammad Irfan Shaikh and T S Bedi, the event took opportunity to pay homage to the victims of last year's serial train blasts in Mumbai this day, the infamous 7/11, by observing a two minute silence in their memory and by offering floral tributes to all the National heroes of defence services from Noida.

Fire brand leader and chairman of the all India anti terrorist front, Manninderjit Singh Bitta, chief guest of the occasion cautioned that the dreams of free India envisioned and nurtured by iconic martyrs like Shaeed-e-azam Bhagat Singh and Chandra Shekhar Azad has been in peril not as much for the threats of a few external forces as due to the continually diminishing standards in the morals and values of the present day politicians of independent India.

Bitta exhorted upon the large number of students of media studies present at the function to ensure to promote patriotic values through their cinematic ventures by also making good films like Bhagat Singh and Rang De Basanti, when they step into the world of film making as cinema can do wonders in re aligning an increasingly materialistic population back with patriotic sentiments for the country and society once again. Appreciating the role of media, T S Bedi recalled how an entire district of Gautam Budha Nagar had submerged at Col Thapar's house in 1999, minutes after Capt Vijayant Thapar's immortal remains arrived in Noida with just a whirl wind call around Noida's sectors conducted by him and some of his colleagues & NGOs from Noida. Addressing the audience Director AAFT Sandeep Marwah corroborated Prof Bedi's remark that "the tumultuous reception given to Capt Vijayant's body was indeed far more stronger than that ever witnessed by the greatest superstars of Bollywood". ABFF Chief Advisory Committee Irfan Shaikh spoke about the aims and objectives of the foundation.

The event took opportunity to show case a slide of serial blast killers made by ABFF and release of its fist CD of a patriotic song "Awaaz do hum ek hain" by chief guest, M S Bitta. The event was attended by Col V N Thapar and Flt Lt J P Sharma and Smt Sharma, the proud parents of Noida's valiant martyrs Capt Vijayant Thapar and Capt Shashi Kant Sharma, Prakash Mastan, Shivanand Chand, President and General Secretary of the ABFF, who also addressed the gathering and steered by T S Bedi. A charged environment saw students waving the national tri colour with zest and zeal before concluding the program with our sacred national anthem and a candle light peace march by the august audience as a mark of respect to patriotic fervor created by the organizers.
